Holly Star is the founder of Hoshi Studio, an internationally recognized permanent makeup artist, educator, and speaker whose career has been defined by an unwavering commitment to technical excellence, thoughtful artistry, and advancing the standards of permanent makeup.

Known for her meticulous attention to detail, technical expertise, and analytical approach to permanent makeup, Holly has dedicated her career to understanding the intricacies of her craft. Her work emphasizes natural, sophisticated results, with careful consideration for how permanent makeup heals, ages, and evolves over time.

Holly also has a genuine love for connecting with her clients and making each appointment a memorable, personal experience. She takes pride in getting to know the people who trust her with their faces, combining her artistic vision and expertise with an individualized approach to every procedure. Her goal is for each client to feel comfortable, confident in her care, and valued as an individual.

Beyond her work with clients, Holly is deeply passionate about education and raising the standards of the PMU industry. As an international educator and mentor, she encourages artists to think critically, challenge conventional practices, and develop a deeper understanding of the techniques and tools they use.

Beyond the Studio

Outside of permanent makeup, Holly is an athlete, pole dance instructor, and lifelong creative with a love for challenging herself and learning new things. After undergoing two major back surgeries, she discovered pole dancing and spent years developing a level of strength and athleticism she once thought impossible.

She loves traveling, exploring new places, spending time with her husband and friends, and pursuing creative interests that extend far beyond the beauty industry. Whether she’s teaching, training, or diving into a new obsession, Holly brings the same curiosity, determination, and enthusiasm to everything she does.
